(Dis)Avventure di un ragazzo in terra irlandese

The old and tired King is dead. Honour to this King.

My Pc, after years and years of service he had done is last breath. No more Windows reinstall or linux kernel recompile possible.

Today, during the “dismantle” of it, i thinked how this pc was amazing and complete, and how my life is changed… today an “era” of my life is finish. In that moment I realized this.. no more neverending night in chat with Butterfly, no more noise for the old fan inside the pc….and my mum waked up in the midde of the night sayng “close this fucking pc and go to bed!!” and now, like and old warrior i want to declare alle his qualities:

• Monitor LG FT700 17″ 
• Hiron audio system 2.1
• Wireless Keyboard “UV fluo” hacked.
• UPS 500 watt with line protection
• CPU AMD XP 2000+ (1,8 Ghz)
• 512 mb RAM ddr
• 2 network card
• canon scanner lide 25
• canon printer 560i
• dsl modem DLINK 300 (and after 302t flashed with modified bios, port fowarding and more)
• Win tv Hauppage TV TUNER
• ATI RADEON 7000 agp 
• HD 40 GB (after external HD LACIE 320GB)
• 3 fan inside at more of 1200 rpm
• LG combo DVD/CD/DVD RAM reader/burner
• bluetooth connectivity
• crossed network cable to connect the machine to other pc directly
• more of 30 mt of various cable (wire to the HI FI system, television ans so on… dialup modem ecc..)

Add Windows XP pro and Linux Ubuntu 7 and sometimes, Knoppix.

I had reaaly good time with it and, sometimes was for me more of one friend. Incredible mate of looong night and pal always ready to connect me to chat with new people and to provide me information and news.

 so, now I both for my dad another pc, a laptop. I hope it will be warrior in the same way.
